Monty’s Introduces the Next Generation of Plant Nutrition and Fertility Management: ProtoColl

Monty’s Plant Food Company has developed a new line of encapsulated fertilizers that truly breaks new ground in plant fertility and soil health. Monty’s ProtoColl System is the next generation of humic technology. The unique fertilizer system is designed to make growers’ nutrient program more efficient – stabilizing and maximizing nutrients in the soil – creating an unmatched environment for the soil biome to thrive. ProtoColl combines the benefits of both solid and liquid fertilizers, delivering immediate nutrient availability and sustained release. This improved soil environment creates healthier roots and better plant growth.

Third-party field trials in the last several years have seen unprecedented results on corn. Monty’s ProtoColl System delivered higher nutrient balance and larger, healthier roots and leaves – with as much as 25% yield increase.

Monty’s ProtoColl is a proprietary process which bundles micro-droplets of nutrients encapsulated by Polyelectrolyte Enhanced Biopolymers (PEBs) that maximize nutrient efficiency. The ProtoColl System is a unique, balanced structure of encapsulated humics and nutrients … creating an ideal environment that maximizes the nutrients available to the plant.

The first two ProtoColl formulations, ProtoColl 8-18-2 and ProtoColl 7-16-7, will be available through Monty’s dealers in time for 2025 planting. Additional formulations are in development now.
