Local farmer featured in national campaign for montys plant and soil products

Herfurth PhotoCharlie Herfurth, a local farmer living in Cullman, Alabama, was recently featured in a Monty’s Plant Food Company campaign. Herfurth offered a testimonial about his experience using Monty’s plant and soil products.

Herfurth began using Monty’s Liquid Carbon Organic Soil Conditioner on his 700-acre hay and row-crop operation five years ago. He began the application process after observing a steady decline in production due to elevated phosphorous levels in the ground and compact, clay soil conditions.

“The Monty’s Liquid Carbon gave my crops exactly what they needed, eliminating the need to use an aerator regularly to keep the fields producing,” said Herfurth. “In fact, I’ve sold the aerator and just use the carbon, saving me fuel, equipment expenses and increasing my yields.”

Herfurth has witnessed similar results in his row crops where he says he is no longer dealing with sidewall compaction and his fields do not suffer as badly from droughts or floods.

Herfurth shared his story nationally on RFD-TV Live, a program on the cable channel RFD-TV, which is home to a comprehensive lineup of agriculture-based programs. The network gives agriculture professionals and hobbyists a wide variety of news and information.

Monty’s Liquid Carbon Organic Soil Conditioner is derived from 100 percent natural elements and employs Monty’s proprietary humic technology. It is completely safe and non-toxic for use in commercial applications. It helps relieve soil compaction, or density, often found in clay soils, leading to more oxygen for healthy root system growth. It is designed to improve drainage and nutrient efficiency in all soil types.
