\u201cGrowers who plant too early will most likely see nutrient deficiencies,\u201d says Charlie Hubbard, agronomist for Monty\u2019s\u00ae<\/sup> Plant Food Company. \u201cDeficiencies in manganese, phosphorus and zinc will slow the crop\u2019s emergence and overall growth, leading to a loss of yield.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is far easier and more cost-effective to address nutrient deficiencies at planting, rather than trying to rescue a crop in-season. That\u2019s why growers who understand Hubbard\u2019s perspective are analyzing their soil and assessing their planting conditions now \u2013 and preparing their fields to deliver maximum yield.<\/p>\n
