McCutchan will lead Monty\u2019s fast-growing sales team which added five hires in 2021. These additional personnel have filled in gaps in Monty\u2019s core distribution areas as well as taking steps to expand into new U.S. and international territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur business doubled this year, primarily due to our success with farmers in Indiana and Ohio, where some of the country\u2019s highest yielding corn and soybean producers are early adopters of Monty\u2019s products,\u201d said Jeff Sangalli, Monty\u2019s CEO. \u201cThese national influencers attribute Monty\u2019s as an essential ingredient of their formula for high yields.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited for Phil to join us as we continue to cultivate those relationships and develop new ones throughout the country. Phil brings to the table not only his depth of experience as a farmer but more than twenty years of experience in a leadership role within the seed business, which is a unique perspective among the soil experts who sit at our company\u2019s table.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McCutchan hails from southwestern Indiana, where he lives and works from his family farm. After graduating from Purdue University with a BS in Agribusiness, he accepted a position in marketing and sales at AgriGold, where he spent over twenty years. \u201cThe quality of people and their passion for the business really drew me to Monty\u2019s,\u201d said McCutchan. \u201cPlus, their unique, well performing products offer huge opportunities for row crop markets in untapped areas of the corn belt as well as across a wide swath of crop varieties found in other regions. Monty\u2019s offers solutions for peanuts and citrus in the South to hazelnuts and blueberries in the Northwest. It\u2019s exciting to have that great expanse of market open as potential growth areas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other 2021 additions to Monty\u2019s sales team are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sage Haegen, Territory Manager in Washington and Oregon, who has a background in R&amp;D. His crop experience ranges from peas, corn, asparagus and potatoes to hemp, berries, and tree fruit.<\/li><li>Marvin Harrelson, Territory Manager in North Carolina, whose work history includes irrigation and the promotion of biostimulants and kelp-based products.<\/li><li>Troy Smith, Territory Manager in Iowa, who worked several years in the seed industry as well as for Farmers Business Network of Iowa.<\/li><li>Isaac Goss, Territory Manager in Ohio, who received his MBA from Heidelberg University,<\/li><li>Nathan Schroeder, Territory Manager in Nebraska, who obtained his MA from Kansas State University and is a Certified Crop Advisor.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Brian McAfee, Territory Manager in Indiana and Michigan, who\u2019s background consists of over 35 years in direct agriculture production and direct customer service.&nbsp; His crop experiences range from field corn, popcorn, soybeans, and wheat.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re investing much of our growth back into the company,\u201d said Sangalli. \u201cOur sales team potentially will grow as much as 50% within another year.
